Founded in 1850, the University of Sydney is Australia’s first university. Today it is considered to be one of the best and progressive universities in the world. Campuses & Facilities

The main campus, which is three kilometres from the city, covers a huge territory and has an elegant landscape design with a variety of statues, artworks and monuments. It is home to administrative headquarters and numerous faculties, such as the Faculties of Arts, Science, Education and Social Work, Pharmacy, Veterinary Science, Economics and Business, Architecture, and Engineering. Sydney Medical School is also suited here.

The campus includes teaching and research facilities, six libraries, art galleries and historical museums. The core research infrastructure offers a range of related services to assist researchers from diverse disciplines: material science, chemical and biological analysis, cytometry and biomedical research, informatics and others.
