Trinity College Dublin was founded in 1592 by the royal charter. Nowadays, the University focuses on a liberal environment, independence of thought, and achievement potential. Trinity College Dublin's vision is a globally connected community of learning, research, and scholarship, inspiring generations to meet the future's challenges. 
Situated in the heart of Dublin’s city center, the University offers cutting-edge research, innovative teaching, and creativity in solving global challenges. 
Trinity College Dublin provides three faculties with key study areas: Arts and Humanities; Business; Law; Engineering; Science; and Health Science. The University offers world-class research at Trinity Research Institutes; Trinity Led Research Consortia; Trinity Research Centres; and National Initiatives co-founded by TCD. There are lots of services that help in teaching, learning, and research. 
The pride of the University is famous people who have been educated at the University. Among them, the world’s finest minds, including the writers Oscar Wilde and Samuel Beckett (Nobel laureate), the scientists William Rowan Hamilton and Ernest Walton (Nobel laureate), the political thinker Edmund Burke, and the former President of Ireland and UNHCR Mary Robinson. 
The reputation of the University is high among European and world universities. The highest rankings are:
-    1st Ireland’s University (QS World University Ranking 2019 Academic Ranking of World Universities (Shanghai), 2019);
-    155th in the world (The World University Ranking, 2021);
-    1st in Ireland for employer reputation (QS World University Rankings for Graduate Employability, 2020). 

Facilities

The campus is situated in Dublin and has 220,000 m2 buildings with unique historical architecture and contemporary facilities.
