The International Aviation Academy of New Zealand (IAANZ) is the Professional flight training division of New Zealand's largest Aero Club - the Canterbury Aero Club, which was established in 1928. At Christchurch, a team of engineers provide on-demand service and expertise to maintain IAANZ's modern fleet of glass cockpit and analogue aircraft. Safety is the number one priority of IAANZ. Soundproof air-conditioned lecture rooms, individual briefing rooms and flight planning areas are all under the same roof, not to mention the lounge with an unparalleled view of the Airport's runways. External ASL examinations are conducted on site. Each phase of training is delivered by a team of instructors and team leaders. Regular communication and excellent systems for monitoring and supporting learner achievement ensure consistent standards and timely programme completion. Industry stakeholders report that IAANZ graduates are very well prepared for employment in commercial aviation.
