Algonquin College of Applied Arts and Technology is a publicly funded English-language college located in Ontario, Canada. It was established in 1967 and named after the First Nations people who lived in the area. The College was formed from the merge of the Eastern Ontario Institute of Technology and the Ontario Vocational Center. Since its inception, Algonquin College has undergone significant growth and continues to develop today. Algonquin College has been ranked among the top 50 research colleges in Canada and recognized as one of Canada’s top innovation leaders. Also, the College is a member of Polytechnics Canada, Eastern Ontario Manufactures Network, Colleges Ontario Network for Industry Innovation, Colleges Ontario Heads of Applied Research, and the Association of Canadian Community Colleges. Apart from that, Algonquin College has several international partnerships around the world.

Nowadays, the College incorporates three campuses in Ontario: the main campus situated in Ottawa, and the others located in Perth and Pembroke. All campuses have recently completed significant expansion projects. Thus, campuses in Perth and Pembroke have built all-new and modern facilities, while the Ottawa campus has a new and innovative Dare District and Library. The staff is a dedicated team that includes 1,386 full-time and 3,290 part-time employees.
