Programme overview

The New Zealand screen industry is looking for people who have a core working knowledge of each of the main areas in the industry. This course offers each student the hands on experience to gain that knowledge. From day one the students are operating the camera gear, working on each other’s productions and developing a well rounded professional work ethic essential for a successful career in screen.

During the diploma each student will research, write, edit and direct a commercial, a short film and a mini-documentary all which will make up their individual E-portfolio. The one year diploma gives the students a solid grounding which leads into a second year of screen production offered at EIT as part of the Bachelor of Creative Practice.
