Programme overview

The purpose of chiropractic is to help people reach and maintain excellent health and wellbeing through the care of the spine and nerve system. Chiropractors are specialists in providing specific adjustments to the spine to correct vertebral subluxations so that the body can function at its fullest potential. Chiropractors are also trained to recognise conditions that may require concurrent care or referral to other health care providers.

Learning about the human body and its functions provides a solid grounding for chiropractors to recognise a condition known as vertebral subluxation. Vertebral subluxations adversely impact the ability of the nerve system to transmit information and properly control the functions of the body.
